One address for everything: hello@filmdevelopingnearby.com. We read every message and usually reply within a couple of business days. There is no contact form, no account and no newsletter signup.
Listing corrections
Wrong hours, a moved lab, a business that has closed, a phone number that rings nowhere, or a process tag that is wrong in either direction — tell us and we will fix it on the next refresh.
Please include:
- The business name and city, or a link to its page on this site.
- What is wrong, and what it should say.
- Where possible, a link that shows the correct information — the business's own website is ideal.
Lab and store owners
Claiming your listing is free and always will be. Email us from an address at your business's own domain, or from the business's public social account, and we can:
- Correct your address, hours, phone number and website link.
- Update what your listing says you do — developing, scanning, which processes you run (C-41, black & white, E-6, 120, large format), turnaround, mail-in, and whether you return negatives.
- Correct which of the four kinds you are listed as: film lab, camera store that develops, community darkroom or film scanning service.
- Remove a photo or a review excerpt you object to.
- Remove your listing entirely, if that is what you want.
Not listed? Send your business name, address and website. We list physical premises the public can reach that develop film, scan film, or provide darkroom access. We do not list drugstore photo counters, photographers, security-camera installers, phone-repair shops, or online-only sellers — the reasoning is on the about page.
We do not sell leads, advertising placements or ranking. If you are writing to ask how to pay for a better position, the answer is that there is no such thing here.
Reviews and photos
Review excerpts and photographs shown on listing pages come from public business profiles and belong to the people who wrote and took them. If you are the author, or the business, and want something taken down, email us with a link to the page and we will remove it — no argument, no process.
Press and data requests
Working on a story about film's resurgence, the state of independent film labs, or where you can and can't get a roll developed? We are happy to cut the numbers behind our film-developing statistics by state, metro or business type, with attribution and a link. Tell us what you are trying to show and we will tell you honestly whether the data supports it.
What we cannot help with
- Quotes and bookings. We are not a lab — contact the business directly using the details on its listing.
- Developing your film. We don't process film ourselves; we point you to the labs that do. Start from film developing near you or the mail-in labs.
- Disputes with a business. We have no relationship with the labs listed and cannot mediate.
