I used to have to wait weeks to develop my film when I went elsewhere, but Lumentation has the fastest turnaround time; sometimes within a day I would get scans back. Not to mention they have a 24h drop off which is super helpful if you’re busy during the day!
This place is dreamy. The developing and scanning services are top notch. The prints are great quality. They have a wide range of film stocks and also offer a lot of starter cameras. But beyond offering excellent service, it’s the people that make this place so great.
It can be a little daunting to start a new hobby, and I think that's (for me, at least) particularly true about film! The folks at Lumentation have made it seem so much more approachable and accessible - they are endlessly patient, have a very quick turnaround, and are genuinely interested in inviting people to learn…
This is THE place for all things film photography in the Greater Boston area. They have an enormous selection of film (of all types) as well as cameras and accessories. But the highlight is their consistently great developing and scanning service they offer.
